By the end of this course, you will be able to read a NEWS2 chart and will understand the numerical scoring system. You will also know the physiological parameters that are included in NEWS2. It also covers the use of NEWS2 in identifying and monitoring sepsis.
The purpose of the course is not to measure competency in diagnosing or treating patients with sepsis, nor is it meant to be used to measure competency in completing a NEWS2 chart.
This course is likely to take 1 hour and is worth 1 CPD hour.
