Epilepsy is responsible for high levels of suffering, affecting more than 50 million people worldwide, thus making it an important public health problem. In Europe, 6 million people are impacted by the symptoms of epilepsy. Sufferers are of all ages, but epilepsy especially affects children, adolescents and the aged. This course will introduce you to epilepsy and will help you to understand the condition, how it is managed, what your role in this management is and what having a condition as epilepsy means in a real sense for the person affected by it.
