Course overview
This course provides necessary training in infection prevention and control for health and social care professionals working in contact with individuals at risk of infection. It covers standard precautions, healthcare-associated infections such as MRSA and C. difficile, and practical steps that help reduce and control the spread of infection. Learners will also understand their responsibilities, such as effective cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation, safe handling of sharps and the importance of legislation and risk assessment.
