This course is designed to introduce how to manage challenging behaviour to those working in the healthcare industry. Module 1 is an introduction to challenging behaviour, including specific examples of disabilities that may cause challenging behaviour. Module 2 covers techniques used to prevent and de-escalate aggressive behaviour. The aim of this module is to enable the readers to familiarise themselves with relevant terminology, and both theory and practical application so that they can respond calmly and professionally to any violent or aggressive incidents.
