Mental Health or ‘emotional health’ or ‘well-being’ are just as important as good physical health but because mental illness is not 'visible', it makes it difficult for others to understand what someone is going through, even for those who are very close to that person.
This course will introduce you to mental health and learning disability, including key definitions and discussions.
It is split into 5 modules:
Module 1: an introduction to mental health and learning disabilities
Module 2: making individualised care plans and understanding the role of medication
Module 3: helping carers to set boundaries between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
Module 4: your role on a day-to-day basis
Module 5: Following NICE guidelines
