Course: Substance Misuse Training

Description

Substance Misuse, or abuse, is defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the “harmful or hazardous use of psychoactive substances, including illicit drugs or alcohol”. The CQC or NHS do not provide their own definition of what substance misuse consists of, but the statement above is commonly used. As stated above, substance misuse does not only include the taking of illicit or recreational drugs, but also alcohol.
